ON VISITING AN ART EXHIBIT

I'd like to be able to paint really great art like that, not to mention

keep a house that's forever spotlessly inviting,
make a gazillion career-woman dollars, 
get more/have less self-control -

but it's hard to do all that and be
a lazy dreamer, too, watching the clouds changing day and night,
which is also a major career goal.

I'd like to be the Mother Theresa of my neighborhood.

Acknowledged scholar of my corner of knowledge.

Make all meals from scratch.

But when is there time to do these properly
when watching the lizards flirt on the porch,
watching the raccoon laze by the pool,
saying hello to the moon and the firefly
takes up so much of my time?
